John says: "Jacqui who manages and Errol who owns it are both charming and efficient. The pool, shady trees area and general communal areas are lovely and are better than in the photos. Decor is clean and bright and comfy. Laynes Road is real Barbados despite being very close to the upmarket beaches. Cockerels in the morning were crowing enthusiastically and noisily. Daphnes on the beach for happy hour recommended. We plan to go back to Shades"
